A friendly and professional individual with the ability to perform a variety of cleaning and maintenance duties to increase the aesthetic and hygienic appearance of the office area.
Duties & Responsibilities
HOUSEKEEPING
- Perform general sweeping, scrubbing, and mopping of floors
- Dust, damp wipe, wash or polish surface areas
- Clean toilets, hand basins, sinks and showers
- Use chemical agents as directed by the Office Manager in the discharge of cleaning operations
- Empty refuse bins and transport them to designated collection points
- Perform suction cleaning and “spot” treatment on carpeted areas, as needed
- Wash walls and/or inside windowpanes to a height no greater than body height plus an arm’s extension from floor level
GENERAL ADMINISTRATION
- Check stock levels of cleaning products and report back on a weekly basis
- Ensure safe and sanitary storage and care of products
- Monitor and replenish stock levels of consumables such as, but not limited to, soap, toilet rolls and paper towels
- Assist with the distribution of company supplied daily meals to specific kitchen locations
- Assist with moving furniture to setup the office layout
- Assist in the execution of other reasonable duties where necessary
REPORTING
- Provide timely and accurate feedback regarding daily activities
- Report any Health and Safety concerns, faulty bulbs, damages to property or other faults
Desired Experience & Qualification
- National Senior Certificate (Grade 12) or equivalent qualification will be an advantage
- At least two (2) years’ experience in a similar role
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- The ability to work effectively in a team
- Multilingual will be an advantage
- Reliable and punctual with dedicated professionalism
- A valid South African ID
Package & Remuneration
The salary is market-related and negotiable, depending on relevant experience and qualifications.
