This post is an excellent opportunity to progress your career and is suitable for any experienced Social Worker.The Adult Community Teams are part of the wider Care Community Partnerships with GPs, Matrons, Mental Health services, Housing and voluntary sector services as they take a collaborative approach to supporting people within its footprint. The Community Teams provide support for any adults over the age of 18 years and includes, complex adult safeguarding, those with a learning disability, autism, mental health concerns, physical disabilities and homelessness. This is an exciting opportunity for experienced Social Workers which requires the use of all the core skills, knowledge and Social Work values including good communication, decision making skills and the ability to work under pressure. The successful applicant will need to be able to adopt a flexible approach to their work and be a good team player.What We Are Looking ForWe are looking for enthusiastic and experienced Social Workers who have good knowledge of adult safeguarding, mental capacity and sound Best Interest decisions making including knowledge of Court of Protection issues.The candidate should be self-motivated with excellent communication skills and the ability to work both autonomously within the Adult Community Teams and wider Multi-disciplinary arena. Organisational skills and time management is key to effectively managing caseloads.The candidates should be able to provide a client centred approach to care and demonstrate sound knowledge through evidence-based assessments and management of support in a variety of situations.It will be essential for the post holder to work autonomously within the Councils policies and professional practice, in addition to maintaining accurate and comprehensive client documentation.The post holder will be based at Macclesfield, but home working is available and there may be a necessity to travel to other bases.
