Introduction
The purpose of the role is to Supervise daily drilling, production related testing and associated on-site engineering operation of the exploration drilling campaign and report thereof.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Test and measurement this includes; conducting flow test and daily inspections thereof, verification of pressure test of casing.
- On-site exploration drilling supervision:
- Identification of any risks and challenges to drilling activity
- Drilling both percussion and rotary wells to a depth of 1500m at an incline
- Verbal/Written instruction to drilling contractors, as and when safety/environmental concerns or non-compliances occures
- Monitor cementation and ensure volumes as in cementation calculations are accurate
- Audit against the approved basis of design, and approve and record any deviations to be basis of design as many occur.
- Enforce the company’s HSE requirements at all times
- Complete weekly report of sites supervised recording compliance/deviation to design etc.
- Post-drilling monitoring
- Prepare updated, complete well schematics
- Implement exploration well maintenance and repair plan including checking for fugitive leaks, fluid levels, corrosion, damage casing etc.

Desired Experience & Qualification
- Relevant qualification
- Minimum 1-3 years skilled experience as Drilling Supervisor
- Must have managed staff and contractors
- Solid communication skill both verbal and written
