Job Purpose
The purpose of this position is to provide effective cleaning services and general assistance within the VKB Grain (Simba) facility. The successful candidate will contribute to a clean, safe, and productive working environment that supports operational efficiency and compliance with workplace standards. This position is ideal for a motivated General Worker who values teamwork and attention to detail.
Minimum Requirements
To be considered for this opportunity, applicants must meet the following requirements:
- Minimum Grade 10 qualification
- At least 1–2 years of experience in a similar cleaning or general assistance role
- Willingness to work overtime when operational needs require it
- A clear criminal record
- Physical ability to perform manual and cleaning duties
Key Responsibilities
The appointed employee will be responsible for a variety of cleaning and support tasks, including but not limited to:
- Performing daily cleaning and general housekeeping duties
- Ensuring all work areas remain neat, hygienic, and orderly
- Maintaining compliance with health, food safety, and hygiene regulations
- Supporting a safe working environment by adhering to safety procedures
- Carrying out ad hoc tasks as instructed by supervisors or management
- Providing consistent and reliable service delivery
- Participating in required training programs and completing them successfully
- Representing the company professionally and working well within a team
- Supporting basic customer service functions when required
