Introduction
A supplier and distributor of composite materials and technology in South Africa is looking for a Warehouse Storeman.
Duties & Responsibilities
Responsibilities:
- Prepare customer orders within the shortest possible timeline with minimal errors.
- Prepare and pick Inter warehouse requisition for Head Office and Eastern Cape
- Package customer orders as per the specified SOP standard.
- Assist Team Leader with everyday logistics.
- When required, able to perform deliveries, willing to have a rotational function from preparing orders to being a delivery driver, including anything else the branch requires to function efficiently.
Organizing the receiving and processing incoming stock
- Moving products from shipping trucks to warehouse shelves, or from the warehouse to the store.
- Move inventory and materials across facilities.
Receiving and inspection of incoming stock
- Assist with stocking shelves and removing outdated stock from shelves.
- Sort, organize, and store inventory in proper location.
- Package items and label correctly
- Stack and organize large bulk items.
- Re-stacking goods to make space for a new delivery.
- Warehouse documentation to be completed after cutting [Cutting List]
- Advise team Leader of Expired stock.
- Work as an active team member to complete team goals.
- Conduct a rolling stock take
- Required to adhere to the Company PPE requirements, Health & Safety Code, as well as attendance and timekeeping standards.
Desired Experience & Qualification
- Matric – or equivalent
- Forklift license will be an advantage –
- Valid driver’s license. (code 8)
- Proven experience as a Warehouse Store Man will be advantageous.
- 1-2 years’ Experience in warehouse, dispatch, and receiving.
Preferred Skills
- Physically fit and able to lift and move heavy packages and objects.
- Physically able to stand, sit, move, squat, walk, and climb during the course of the shift.
- Physically able to lift to 20 Kilograms or more.
- Numeracy, literacy
- Verbal and written communication skills
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Able to work independently.
- Highly organized and able to store items efficiently.
- Ability to follow processes and procedure accurately.
- Must follow all health and safety procedure and regulations.
- Attention to detail and Strong problem-solving skills.
- Strong work ethic
- Strong focus on Customer Service
- Can prioritize and execute tasks timeously/time management.
- Must be able to work under pressure.

- Able to pass drug test/background check.

- Willing to work overtime at short notice
Package & Remuneration
R153K per annum.
