Duties & Responsibilities
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and serve a variety of beverages, including cocktails, beers, and wines, to lodge guests.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the bar area, including stocking supplies and cleaning glasses.
- Provide friendly and efficient service to ensure guest satisfaction.
- Work closely with the kitchen staff to coordinate food and beverage orders.
- Handle cash transactions and maintain accurate records of sales.
- Greet customers warmly and take their orders accurately.
- Serve food and beverages to guests in a timely manner, ensuring accuracy and good presentation.
- Anticipate guests’ needs and promptly address any concerns or special requests.
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure orders are prepared correctly and delivered promptly.
- Clear tables efficiently and reset them for the next guests.
- Maintain knowledge of menu items, including specials and ingredients, to answer any questions guests may have.
- Assist with cleaning duties in the dining area and other areas of the lodge as needed.
- Uphold standards of hygiene and safety in food service and handling.
- Assist in training new staff members as required.
- Handle any guest complaints or issues professionally and escalate to management if necessary.
Desired Experience & Qualification
Requirements:
- Previous experience as a bartender, with proficiency in preparing a wide range of drinks.
- Experience in waitering is essential.
- Prior experience working in a lodge or similar hospitality environment is beneficial.
- Excellent customer service and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, especially during peak hours.
- Strong attention to detail and a positive attitude.
Package & Remuneration
R6 500 per month, with accommodation provided.
