Factory Cleaner/General Worker

Our client in the engineering/manufacturing sector is looking for a temporary cleaner and a factory cleaner/ general worker to join their team.

Cleaner Responsibilities:

• cleaning and sanitising surfaces and floors in the offices; and the factory bathrooms;; doing dishes; removing trash etc
• The position includes routine tasks such as vacuuming/sweeping; mopping and wiping down surfaces and also cleaning toilets and bathrooms in the office.
• Ordering of supplies; issuing of brooms and other supplies to different departments and notify management of any supplies that need to be restocked.

Factory Cleaner/General Worker Responsibilities:

• core responsibilities will be in the production area and yard, but the candidate may be required to assist in the offices from time to time.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation in the production areas.
• Cleaning of the machines when as and when required.
• Collect and dispose of waste.
• Must be physically fit and be able to lift heavy objects and bend, scoop and kneel for extended periods of time.
• Adhere to safety protocols and procedures.
• Follow all company policies and procedures
• It will be an advantage if the candidate is a hands on person who can assist with general work where needed.

Both candidates must be:

• Trustworthy
• must have good communication skills and be able to speak, and understand English/Afrikaans.
• Must have proven working experience as a cleaner.
• Both must be physically fit and be able to bend, scoop and kneel as and when required to..
