- We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Handyman (Electrician) to join our manufacturing team in Heidelberg. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in electrical maintenance and repair, as well as general handyman skills to ensure that all equipment and facilities are functioning optimally
Duties & Responsibilities
- Perform electrical maintenance and repairs on machinery, equipment, and facilities.
- Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance on electrical systems and machinery.
- Troubleshoot electrical issues and implement effective solutions in a timely manner.
- Assist in installing, maintaining, and repairing electrical equipment and systems.
- Collaborate with other maintenance staff to address general facility repairs, including plumbing, and painting.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and standards during maintenance activities.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections.
- Respond to emergency maintenance requests promptly.
- Support production teams by minimizing downtime through effective maintenance practices.
- Participate in tra1ining and development programs as required.
Desired Experience & Qualification
- Matric.
- Trade test Electrician
- Proven experience as a maintenance handyman or electrician, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, wiring, and equipment.
- Familiarity with general maintenance and repair techniques (plumbing, carpentry, HVAC, etc.).
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Valid driver’s license may be required.
Package & Remuneration
- R 152.99 Per hour
