Our client in Stellenbosch is seeking an Office Cleaner to maintain a tidy and organized workspace. The ideal candidate should possess a Grade 10 qualification or equivalent, demonstrate excellent housekeeping skills, and have effective communication abilities. Fluency in English and Afrikaans is essential, as the role involves answering phones and taking messages. Previous experience with office service cleaning for at least 2 years is required, and candidates must have their own means of transportation.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Grade 10 or equivalent
  • Good housekeeping skills
  • Good and effective communication skills
  • Fluent in English and Afrikaans
  • Comfortable answering telephone and taking messages
  • Ability to interact with client
  • 2 Years’ office service cleaning experience
  • Own transport


DUTIES:

Provision of beverages:

  • Prepares and supplies beverages in the boardroom or other meeting venues for meetings and functions when required.
  • Assists with catering functions and lunches for visitors in the main boardroom.
  • Ensures sufficient supplies of coffee, tea, sugar, milk and cleaning materials by collecting supplies from the Receptionist when supplies are running short and follows through with the Receptionist to ensure stock levels are kept at the required levels.


General Assistance:

  • Assists the Receptionist with tasks as and when required for example, delivering mail or stationery to a person in the Production Area.
  • Assists with various cleaning tasks in the Administration Block if and when required should the Cleaner be unavailable.


Cleaning and Housekeeping:

  • Carries out cleaning and housekeeping duties to keep Production offices, including the Kitchen and Toilet areas clean and neat.
  • Ensures that the Laboratory area is cleaned in terms of requirements set down by Manager.


Other General office services:

  • Assists in ensuring the Plane Bar is kept neat and tidy ready to be used at any time.
  • Assists the Receptionist with clerical work when required.

HOURS:

  • Monday to Friday: 08:00 – 17:00
